MOVES is expanding mobile veterinary internal medicine across Colorado’s Front Range with the addition of Stephanie Smith, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM). Based in Castle Rock, Dr. Smith is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist serving general practices and emergency hospitals throughout Castle Rock and the surrounding Denver area.

Dr. Smith grew up in Colorado, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. She stayed at CSU to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation she moved east and completed her small animal surgery and medicine rotating internship at Cornell University. She remained at Cornell for her residency in small animal internal medicine and achieved board certification through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2022.
Following residency, Dr. Smith worked at one of the largest specialty centers in Los Angeles, California for three years before returning to her home state.
Her clinical interests include gastroenterology and immune-mediated diseases. Her services span internal medicine consultations, abdominal and thoracic ultrasound, and advanced diagnostic support for complex medical cases.
By working out of Castle Rock, Dr. Smith helps extend internal medicine coverage to communities south of Denver, where access to specialty care has historically meant a longer drive for pet owners and referring teams.
Dr. Smith joined MOVES in 2026 and is focused on building strong, collaborative relationships within her partner network. Her goal is to make advanced internal medicine more accessible and better connected for Front Range clinics and their clients.

Isis Allen, RVT
Alongside Dr. Smith is Isis Allen, RVT, who brings a steady, patient-focused approach to every case. She supports all aspects of care delivery, helping maintain a high standard of treatment while ensuring clear communication and a positive experience for both clinics and pet owners.
Their partnership allows hospitals to incorporate internal medicine services naturally into their practice, without disruption to their team or their clients.
