MOVES is proud to expand access to board-certified veterinary surgery in Los Angeles with the addition of Kelsey Arrufat, DVM, DACVS (SA). Based in West Hollywood, Dr. Arrufat provides mobile surgical services to general practice and emergency hospitals across the greater Los Angeles area, bringing advanced procedures directly to the clinics that know their patients best.

Dr. Arrufat is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, specializing in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach and her commitment to delivering high-level specialty care while supporting the referring veterinarian every step of the way.

She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2016, where she also completed her undergraduate studies with honors as a double major in Zoology and Poultry Science. Dr. Arrufat then pursued extensive post-graduate training, including a small animal rotating internship, a surgery specialty internship, and a three-year surgical residency at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center. She achieved board certification in 2025.

Dr. Arrufat’s clinical experience spans a wide range of advanced procedures, with particular interest in orthopedic conditions, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue surgery. Her training and experience allow her to deliver efficient, high-quality surgical care with a focus on patient safety, outcomes, and continuity of care within the referring hospital.

As part of the MOVES Los Angeles team, Dr. Arrufat works alongside established specialists in cardiology and internal medicine, further strengthening the level of specialty support available to hospitals throughout the region. Together, the team provides a seamless extension of care, helping practices manage more complex cases without the need to refer patients out.
