MOVES is bringing mobile veterinary oncology to Asheville with the addition of Benjamin Lee, DVM, DACVIM (Medical Oncology). A board-certified medical oncologist, Dr. Lee brings advanced cancer care directly to a select group of partner hospitals across the Asheville region and the surrounding Upstate.

Dr. Lee grew up in the lowcountry of South Carolina and earned his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, before attending Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Following a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University, he moved to Athens, Georgia and completed a three-year small animal medical oncology residency at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He achieved board certification through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Lee spent 2020 through 2026 in private specialty practice before joining MOVES, working throughout the Upstate region he has come to call home.

While he has experience treating all small animal oncologic diseases, his clinical focus includes lymphoma, leukemias, osteosarcoma, hemangiosarcoma, and histiocytic sarcoma. His work spans chemotherapy, cancer diagnostics, individualized treatment planning, and long-term case management.

He is known for helping pet owners work through difficult diagnoses with clarity and a full understanding of the options in front of them, from advanced treatment through palliative care.

Dr. Lee joined MOVES in 2026 and is focused on building strong, collaborative relationships within his partner network. His goal is to make advanced oncology care more accessible and better connected for Asheville-area clinics and their clients.
