Dr. Parente earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University with the distinction of graduating with high honors. His clinical training journey continued as he completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Ohio State University, followed by a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at Michigan State University, ultimately achieving Board Certification as a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist.
Dr. Parente accumulated extensive practical experience throughout his career by working in various multidisciplinary emergency and specialty hospitals across the United States. His commitment to honing a wide variety of diagnostic skills, including ultrasound and endoscopy, has enabled him to manage a diverse range of complex medical conditions.
His primary objective is to deliver exceptional veterinary care to pets and their families. Dr. Parente is excited to leverage his expertise by collaborating with primary veterinarians, expanding specialty care to their practices, and offering support in navigating the intricate health issues their patients may face.
In his leisure time, Dr. Parente finds enjoyment in cooking, hiking, and running. As a native of Long Island, he is embracing the new and exciting opportunities that Western New York has to offer.

Emma is an experienced veterinary technician, and she will be working alongside Dr. Parente to make it even easier for general practice and emergency hospitals throughout Rochester to host advanced internal medicine services.
