They join Michelle Powers, DVM, DACVS, CCRT, DACVSMR in rounding out our Boston-area mobile referral services to include surgery, sports medicine & rehabilitation, internal medicine, and cardiology. Dr. Fiocchi will begin offering mobile internal medicine services as of November 4, 2020, and Dr. Malakoff will begin offering mobile cardiology services as of December 1, 2020. Boston, MA | Internal Medicine
Dr. Fiocchi received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 2004 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. While completing her clinical training at Tufts University, Dr. Fiocchi developed a love for small animal internal medicine and living in beautiful Massachusetts. Following veterinary school, Dr. Fiocchi completed a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT and a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. During her residency, Dr. Fiocchi was trained in all aspects of internal medicine including hemodialysis and endoscopy. During her training, Dr. Fiocchi’s research focused on the management of chronic kidney disease and she continues to focus on kidney disease in the continuing education lectures that she gives.

Boston, MA | Cardiology
Dr. Malakoff is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist and Massachusetts native. After graduating from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, she completed both a rotating small animal internship and cardiology residency at Angell Animal Medical Center. Dr. Malakoff has 20 years of experience in private practice in the Boston area, diagnosing and managing a myriad of cardiac cases. She served as residency director for the Angell Animal Medical Center cardiology program, as a volunteer on the ACVIM Residency Training Committee in cardiology, and has authored and co-authored numerous text book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Malakoff enjoys being able to provide non-invasive diagnosis of cardiac disease via echocardiography. She is particularly interested in helping clients by providing pragmatic treatment options, reducing stress for both the human caretakers and pet patients.
