MOVES Welcomes 3 New Specialists in Early 2020

MOVES is pleased to start 2020 by welcoming three new specialists to the company. Dr. Jessica Larson, Dr. Julia Bates, and Dr. Patricia Mundy are all launching new mobile specialty services with MOVES early this year.

Nashville, TN | Internal Medicine

Jessica Larson, DVM, DACVIM is a board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist based in Franklin, Tennessee. Beginning in late January, she’ll be serving general practice veterinary hospitals in the greater Nashville metro area, ready to accept referrals for consults, ultrasound, endoscopy, echocardiography, and other internal medicine services. Dr. Jessica Larson has extensive experience in many facets of veterinary medicine including private clinical practice, industry and at-home euthanasia. Her main interests include enhancing client relationships and engagement, being a valuable partner on the journey of each pet’s illness and being both the teacher and student in most situations. She also loves geriatric cats! In her spare time she enjoys activities with her husband and two kids and shares her home with two cats and one (big) rescue dog.

Madison, WI | Internal Medicine

Julia Bates, DVM, DACVIM is a board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist based in Madison, Wisconsin. Beginning in late February to early March, she’ll be serving general practice veterinary hospitals in the greater metro areas of Madison and Milwaukee, ready to accept referrals for consults, ultrasound, endoscopy, echocardiography and other internal medicine services. Dr. Bates has strong interests in cardiopulmonary, immune mediated and endocrine diseases. Her clinical research interest is in hypoadrenocortism (Addison’s disease). Dr. Bates et al. recently had a retrospective study, “Lower Initial Dose Desoxycorticosterone Pivalate for Treatment of Canine Primary Hypoadrenocorticism,” accepted for publication in the Australian Veterinary Journal.

Philadelphia, PA | Ophthalmology

Patricia Mundy, VetMB, MS, DACVO is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Beginning in March-April of 2020, she’ll be serving general practice veterinary hospitals in the Philadelphia metro area with ophthalmological services including consultations and surgery. Dr. Mundy’s interests include clinical, surgical & comparative ophthalmology as well as ocular neoplastic and inflammatory processes. She has been awarded research grants both from the European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists to pursue these interests. Dr. Mundy is proficient in procedures such as lens surgery (including cataract surgery), eyelid surgery, cornea/conjunctival surgery as well as medical management of various ophthalmic diseases.
